I simply photograph what surrounds me and what happens to me, as a ritual that unfolds naturally. I do not wait for the perfect moment, nor do I seek to dramatize a story. Instead, I explore the absurdity of everyday life, trying to capture the instant when tension has already faded, leaving behind only a subtle trace, a lingering atmosphere that can be perceived only through the image. Photography becomes a way of preserving memories, bodies, and presences. I seek intimacy with my subjects, who are often my peers children of a fragmented era, marked by a loss of spirituality and by ruthless social dynamics that foster a cold and increasingly individualistic existence. I am drawn to moments of disinhibition, when my subjects stop performing for the camera, let go of self-consciousness, and simply exist. My work avoids explicit representations of drugs, sex, or violence. Even within the unease that permeates Zoo Island, there remains a sense of innocence and lightness. My subjects carry these experiences as persistent traces, embedded in both their minds and their bodies. My intention is to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary, offering an alternative perspective on everyday life without ever completely departing from reality. "The games had ended long ago. We were left alone, with only a handful of dreams in our pockets that soon turned to sand. The wind carried them out to sea, where they were lost forever. The luckiest felt the few remaining grains strike their faces; they clung to their hands and clothes, leaving behind a faint glimmer of childhood. For everyone else, nothing remained. They became adults forever."
